Tyler Bremner, the Angels' top-ranked prospect, struck out a career-high 10, including six consecutive batters to start the game and worked into the sixth inning for the first time as a pro in High-A Tri-City's 5-4 loss to Hillsboro. Despite allowing two runs (one earned) in his first regular-season start, this was a significant highlight for the Angels, who selected him second overall in the last year's Draft. Despite surrendering an unearned run in the fourth inning, Bremener remained unharmed and did not walk a batter and threw 69 pitches (48 strikes). His impressive performance could help him rise to the Majors.
