Yonkers Fire Dept. refuses to pay driver Amaireinis Merced, who claims her car was totaled after a city fire truck crashed into it during a snowstorm that left nearly a foot of snow in the area. Cellphone video shows the incident on a steep stretch of Park Avenue and the aftermath of it. Merced's car was declared a total loss, but the city has declared itself not liable for the damages. She had to pay for Uber rides and still owes $7,000 on a loan and did not have comprehensive insurance coverage. If the city cannot agree on a settlement, Merced may sue the city if they can't resolve the issue.
