Japanese filmmaker Hirokazu Kore-eda's latest film, "Sheep in the Box," has been praised for creating emotional earthquakes with subtle yet uplifting stories about children and families. The film follows the story of a grieving couple struggling to move forward after losing their 7-year-old only child, Kakeru. The movie, which shares some DNA with Kazuo Ishiguro’s 2021 novel “Klara and the Sun” and is being adapted for a feature film adaptation later this year, is still a fascinating journey for Kore-editors. The directorial debut, "Nobody Knows," also includes "Our Little Sister," "Shoplifters," "Like Father Like Son," and "Asura."
