Case Robinson, a student at Staples High School in Westport, has won a National Gold Medal for his photograph, "Rising in the Dawn: The Calm Before the Flight," which was selected from over 335,000 submissions. The award reflects both Robinson's work and the district's arts education programs. The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards have previously recognized notable artists, including Andy Warhol, Stephen King, and Amanda Gorman.
