PITTSBURGH's Action News FOUR team is reporting on the aftermath of Friday's strong winds in Allegheny County, where tens of thousands of people are still without power. The North Allegheny School District has informed parents that several roads are still unsafe for travel and are making alternate plans for Monday. Students at the North Allegheny School District will have a mandatory instruction day for Monday due to the safety issues. Residents of Tangerlewood Drive in Forrest Hills have been frustrated by the lack of communication with the public and are concerned about the safety of their homes and businesses. Despite power being restored after a weekend in the dark, power remains outages and ongoing issues with power outages across Allegheny county.
