Man admits to answering dare, fatally shooting target of robbery in Minneapolis theater district

Tyrone de Shun Childs Jr., a 21-year-old man from Minneapolis, has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and assault in connection with a late-night shooting on August 27 that killed Jermaine Jabaar Typray Barker and injured another man. With credit for Childs' time in jail, he is expected to serve nearly 26½ years in prison and the balance of his term on supervised release.
