NASA, Northrop Grumman, and SpaceX are set to launch the Northrop Gumman Cygnus XL spacecraft on April 8 for the next mission to deliver science investigations, supplies, and equipment to the International Space Station. The spacecraft will be loaded with approximately 11,000 pounds of cargo and will be launched from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The mission is known as NASA’s CRS-24, and follows the launch of the Cyagnus XL, which will be followed by astronauts on the space station on April 10. Highlights of the mission include a new module for the Cold Atom Lab to advance quantum science and a receiver that could enhance space weather models that protect critical space infrastructure.
