Waterspout spotted at North Carolina beach during weekend storm: Pictures here

A waterspout was spotted at Sunset Beach, North Carolina, during storms over the weekend. The National Weather Service reported that an emergency manager received a report of the offshore waterspouts at around 5:30 p.m. The pictures were sent to sister-station WECT, showing the waterspouting hovering over the water. The agency did not release any damage reports or tornado warnings. Sunset Beach is the southernmost beach in North Carolina and is located near the South Carolina state line.
