Red Flag Warning issued as the drought worsens across our area

A Red Flag Warning has been issued across the Jacksonville area due to a combination of dry ground, low humidity, and gusty winds. The warning covers a large part of the area along and west of the St. Augustine River. Despite this, little rainfall is expected over the next seven days. An approaching front is expected to bring some rain, but only around 30% of the expected coverage. The latest drought monitor indicates that most of the region remains in an extreme drought.
