A pedestrian crossing Harlem Avenue was hit by a red Impala and left the scene, causing him to be trapped in the vehicle. The driver, who was pulled over at 86th Street and Harlem, told police she thought she hit a dog and continued driving because she was scared. The pedestrian was transported to hospital and died. The incident is under review by the Cook County State's Attorney's Office and no charges are yet filed.
