A Texas mother, Cynthia Sarabia, has filed a lawsuit against Uber and one of its drivers over a "terrifying" ride with her two young children last year. The complaint alleges that the ride was unsafe from the start and escalated when the driver refused to let them out unless she canceled the trip through the Uber app, which she was unable to do. The lawsuit also alleges that one of her children did not have a functioning seat belt and that the driver operated erratically and reached speeds up to 90 mph. The plaintiffs are seeking $1 million in monetary relief. They also accuse Uber of gross negligence and assault and battery.
