BYU pounces on Missouri early, extends season by rolling into WBIT quarterfinals

BYU women's basketball team extended their season with a 93-75 victory over Missouri in the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament second-round action at the Marriott Center in Provo, Utah. The Cougars, the only No. 1 seed left in the WBIT, began the game with a 25-2 run to end the first quarter, putting them in control. The team's second-highest scoring game of the season was marked by a strong 60% shooting performance from the first half, led by 10 points from All-Big 12 guard Delaney Gibb and 8 from Kambree Barber. The win moves BYU to the quarterfinals where it will face Stanford. Sophomore Gibb also scored her 1,000th point in the game, marking a milestone in program history.
