A 12-year-old Connecticut girl was found dead at her stepfather's home on March 18, under disturbing circumstances. Police believe that her stepdad, Anthony Federline, sexually assaulted her before her death. The girl, identified as Eve Rogers, was being homeschooled and not enrolled in any public school. Federline was arrested and charged with sexual assault in the first degree and risk of injury to a child. Parents in the school district are outraged that he was allowed to continue driving a school bus after the death of their stepdaughter.
