Franklin Templeton, a global investment firm founded in 1947, is set to launch exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that trade 24/7 via tokenized offerings. The firm is partnering with Ondo Finance, a popular tokenization venture, to create tokenized versions of its ETFs. The tokens will be issued through crypto wallets instead of traditional broker accounts during limited trading hours. The tokenization initiative focuses on five funds. The goal is to reach out to new-age investors who only trade through crypto wallet and don't use traditional brokers. The availability of these ETFs in the United States will depend on regulatory clarity regarding the on-chain distribution of registered funds.
