Boomer's Sportsbook, a new independent sportsbook in Nevada, has celebrated its 1-year anniversary with 15 locations across the state. The company plans to open two downtown Las Vegas sportsbook locations on Sept. 1, bringing its total number of locations to 17. Boomer's recently received approval to operate inside Baldini’s Casino in Sparks and for a first-ever sportsbook located in Amargosa Valley at the Longstreet Inn. The sports gambling networking conference, BetBash, will be hosted by professional sports bettor Gadoon “Spanky” Kyrollos and will run through Friday. New York has filed a lawsuit against prediction market operator Kalshi alleging it is running an illegal gambling business and seeking $36 billion in penalties under state law.
