Tornado confirmed near Dixon: police chief

A confirmed tornado was spotted near Dixon, Illinois, causing significant damage to the city. The police chief, Ryan Bivins, has urged residents to monitor for downed power lines and to stay safe. The Lee County Sheriff's Office also warned motorists to avoid areas north of the city due to reports of several downed powerlines.
