College football is seeing several former top-40 prospects in the 247Sports Composite rankings are running out of opportunities ahead of the 2026 season. These players are either a junior or senior who was once considered a top 40 prospect, but have seen their careers stall. Some are still at big-time programs, while others have moved to a lower level to try and get on the field. Adepoju "PJ" Adebawore, a rising senior at Oklahoma, has a significant opportunity to prove his worth at the university. Jackson Arnold, a former 5-star edge-rusher who started his career at Oklahoma and Oregon, is hoping to resurrect his career with a new role at UNLV. Jeremiah Alexander is entering his second season at Clemson after leaving Alabama, where he could become a significant playmaker due to Wade Woodaz and Luke Ferrelli leaving for Ole Miss. Brownlow-Dindy has made several stops throughout his college career, including a couple of stops in the defensive line and a key player from Florida.
