A man was shot and killed outside of a local business in Youngstown, Ohio, marking the first homicide of the year. The victim had come into the shop with a group earlier that day and left by himself, according to owner Gary Thornton III. Thornton was working at his barber shop when he heard the shots outside and quickly moved everyone to a back corner of the shop. Youngstown Police responded shortly after and found a man shot to death in the parking lot. Thornton described the incident as a "traumatic experience" and said he didn't know the victim well but had seen him in the shop before. Police are seeking information on a grey Dodge Challenger in connection to the shooting.
