Kia's most affordable EV enters production and is now available to order

Kia's most affordable EV, the EV2, is now entering production at its plant in Slovakia ahead of customer deliveries starting next month. The vehicle, which costs €26,600 ($30,500), is available in four variations in Germany and comes with a price tag of €239 ($275) per month. It joins the EV4 as the second fully electric vehicle built at Kia Slovakia. The EV2 can recharge from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes using a 118 kW DC fast charger, compared to the EV6 which can charge from 10%. Kia's top EV2 GT-Line trim starts at €36,890 ($42,600). It is based on the same platform as Hyundai's IONIQ series and Kia’s other EVs.
