Qcells wants solar + storage built into every new home

Solar company Qcells has launched Qcells New Homes, a division that bundles solar and battery systems directly into new construction across the US. The company aims to make clean energy a standard feature, not an add-on. The platform combines panels made at Qcells' Georgia factory with domestically produced batteries, financing, installation support, and long-term monitoring. Qcells is using this move to strengthen its US manufacturing footprint during tightening electrification policies and expectations for lower energy costs built into new homes. The move aligns with a shift towards solar and storage being built into homes from the point of construction rather than later. The flexibility of Qkes' parent company, Hanwha Group, gives builders confidence in the systems and financing behind them.
