Steve Howey is leaving his role as Captain Nick Wagner on ABC's crime procedural High Potential after the season 2 finale ended on a cliffhanger. The decision on Howey's future on the show and Wagner's character's fate have not yet been determined. There is a possibility for Howey to return as a guest star next season to complete his character's arc. The showrunner, Todd Harthan, is leaving after running the series for the first two seasons. Howey has also had a significant role in the Prime Video college-set romantic drama Off Campus and is set to appear in the upcoming second season of Netflix's Ransom Canyon.
