David Furnish on Elton John Oscar Party, Using Drones to Help Treat People With HIV and the Rocket Man’s Health: ‘He’s Keeping Busy and Moving Forward’

The Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Award Viewing Party is set to take place at West Hollywood Park on Sunday. The 34th annual event will be co-hosted by Neil Patrick Harris and his husband David Burtka, and features a performance by Grammy winner Lola Young. The foundation hopes to raise north of $9 million this year. Furnish discusses the future of HIV/AIDS in the US, with hopes that 150,000 people in the U.S. who are living with HIV and don't know it are under the current healthcare system. He also highlighted the need for greater evidence of results in funding and focusing on innovation. Despite recent health challenges, Furnish remains focused on helping vulnerable people with HIV treatment.
