The historic Victory Theater in downtown Rogers, Arkansas, is set to reopen this month ahead of its 100th birthday. The city is resuming operations with a free six-part movie series tied to the United States' 250th anniversary. The theater was severely damaged by a tornado nearly two years ago, with significant water damage and a significant loss of insurance and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) money. The restoration of the theater, which was purchased by the city in 2008, is funded by a $1.2 million grant from the Walton Family Foundation and about $2 million from the city's budget.
