Former U.S. Rep. Melissa Bean, the early front-runner in the race to replace US Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi in the 8th Congressional District, is seeking the seat she lost in 2010 in a Tea Party upset. Bean's campaign has received $3.4 million from groups associated with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, which has been supporting candidates friendly to Israel. She has received endorsements from several former Congressmen, including representatives from Bill Foster, Brad Schneider, Nancy Pelosi, and U.
