A group of Epstein survivors has filed a class action lawsuit against the Trump administration and Google over the disclosure of their personal information in the release of files related to the late sex offender. The plaintiffs claim that the Justice Department prioritized rapid, large-volume disclosure over protection of their privacy. While the government removed survivors' personal information from publicly released files, they claim that online entities like Google continue to publish it. The lawsuit seeks minimum damages of $1,000 per survivor and punitive damages in amounts sufficient to punish and deter Google. The survivors also claim to have violated the Privacy Act of 1974 by disclosing their information without consent.
