Reading is so trendy now that Coach is making book charms

Luxury fashion brand Coach has launched a collection of book-themed bag charms, priced at $95 each, in response to the growing buzz around reading. The 12 miniature books, which include classics like Jane Austen and Maya Angelou, are both decorative and readable. Coach's spring 2026 “Explore Your Story” campaign was inspired by a renewed cultural embrace of long-form storytelling, largely fueled by Gen Z. The company partnered with Penguin Random House in the US and independent publishers across China, Japan, and Korea in efforts to connect with the books' authors. The book charm collection features titles from Japanese writers Natsu Miyashita and Riku Onda, Korean writers Sung Haena and Hwang Bo-Reum, and Chinese author Yan Xiaoyu.
