The University of Cincinnati has hired Jerrod Calhoun as its new men’s basketball coach, bringing back an alum who has coached since his alma mater Bob Huggins. Calhoun, the reigning Mountain West Coach of the Year, said the team can win by building a program around culture, identity and a deep roster. He also emphasized family, accountability, and team-first values. Athletic director John Cunningham praised Calhoun's ability to build a long-term success and expects the team to compete for Big 12 championships and NCAA Tournament appearances.
