Apple is blocking App Store updates to AppGrid for resembling the feature Launchpad, a feature the company discontinued in its Mac product. The app, developed by developer Attila Miklosi, has not been updated in the last four months due to Apple's decision to censor updates. Despite appeals, AppGrid remains on the App Store and Apple continues to collect 30% on every sale. As a workaround, Mikloss distributes an alternate version of AppGrid outside of the App store, which includes features that aren't allowed on App Store-distributed apps.
