Sullivan backers call for investigation into Peltola over 2025 campaign spending

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRC) is urging an investigation into U.S. Senate candidate Mary Peltola for using her campaign account as a personal slush fund. Peltolas, who lost reelection to the U.K. House in 2024, spent over $100,000 from her U.N. House campaign account in 2025, including tens of thousands of dollars on transportation and lodging. The NRSC, a group supporting Sullivan's reelection bid, has requested an investigation by the Federal Election Commission. Despite initially announcing her intention to run for Congress in 2022, she did not make a public announcement last year.
