Peltolas, who lost reelection to the U.K. House in 2024, spent over $100,000 from her U.N. House campaign account in 2025, including tens of thousands of dollars on transportation and lodging. The NRSC, a group supporting Sullivan's reelection bid, has requested an investigation by the Federal Election Commission. Despite initially announcing her intention to run for Congress in 2022, she did not make a public announcement last year.
