California Gov. Gavin Newsom has made his fifth known out-of-state trip this year, to Miami for a $65 per ticket promotional talk at Adrienne Arsht Center for his memoir, "Young Man in a Hurry." This is part of a larger effort to raise his profile ahead of an expected presidential bid. The governor's office did not specify how many days he had been out of California in 2026, but likely amount to two weeks or more, including travel time, across two long-haul jaunts to Europe and three legs of his book tour. His book tour has also taken him through key Democratic primary states.
