Michael and Susan Dell have donated $750 million to the University of Texas at Austin to fund the development of a new medical center and research campus. The donation is one of the largest ever to an American public university and is expected to include a hospital and research facility, using artificial intelligence and advanced computing to deliver earlier and more precise treatment for patients. The university expects to break ground on Dell Medical Center later this year and open the facility in 2030. The couple's donation will also benefit student scholarships and the supercomputing center. This donation adds to their total donation of more than $1 billion to the university.
