Wisconsin anglers organize against earlier northern musky opener

Anglers are attempting to overturn a new Wisconsin musky fishing rule that allows for the opening of the northern zone musky opener to occur on the same day as the current open day. The group submitted citizen resolutions at spring hearings in about 24 counties, calling for the change in direction of the policy. The initiative is supported by the Department of Public Affairs (disease), which is currently under investigation for violations of the law.
