Marist High School won 55-38 over York in a Class 4A state semifinal at the State Farm Center, with junior forward Kendall Meyers leading the scoring with 15 points and five steals. The victory moves Marist to the state championship game against Benet (36-1), a 39-38 winner over DePaul Prep in the other semifinal. Charles Barnes and Adoni Vassialkis scored 14 points for Marist, while Stephen Brown and TJ Tate contributed six points and three assists. The win sends Marist into Saturday's championship game with all-East Suburban Catholic final.
