Montco Lawmaker Demands $170M Refund From Trump Tariffs

State Sen. Art Haywood has sent a letter to the White House demanding a $170 million refund for his communities from the Trump Administration's tariffs, citing the recent Supreme Court decision as proof that the administration's actions were illegal. Haywood's district has about 100,000 households, bringing the total owed to residents of the region at approximately $100 million. If the government does not comply with the request, he may take legal action.
