President Donald Trump has announced that the US will not attack any part of Iran's power and energy infrastructure for five days, following "very good and productive discussions" about ending the three-week war. The decision comes after the president had given Iran 48 hours to reopen the vital Strait of Hormuz, threatening to destroy it if it did not.
