New Tennessee wildlife plan approved, targets at-risk species before they're endangered

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has approved the updated Wildlife Action Plan, which aims to identify and protect at-risk species before they become endangered. The revised plan includes a revised list of species in need of conservation, new mapping tools and expanded research on habitats across the state. All states must update their wildlife plan every 10 years to remain eligible for federal funding.
