Uber is the latest to be won over by Amazon's AI chips

Amazon has announced that Uber is expanding its contract for its cloud services to run more of its ride-sharing features on Amazon's chips. The company will particularly use AWS’s Graviton (a low-power, ARM-based server CPU) and Trainium3, a competitor AI chip. This move is seen as a significant advance by Amazon against Amazon's cloud competitors, Google and Oracle. While Uber has historically run its own data centers, it recently signed multi-year cloud computing deals with Oracle and Google. This follows a trend of big tech companies increasing their usage of Amazon's AI chips.
