Trump claims Iran told U.S. it wants Strait of Hormuz open ASAP

President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran has informed the US that it is "in a state of collapse" and wants to reopen the Strait of Hormuz "as soon as possible". This statement comes after Iran proposed a deal to renege the strait and remove the blockade, which has not been confirmed. The proposal was discussed with President Donald Trump's national security team but no decisions were made.
