Iranian-linked hacker group, Handala Team, has claimed responsibility for a cyberattack on Stryker, a medical tech company in Michigan. This appears to be the first significant cyberattack against an American company since the start of the war. The company, which produces a range of medical equipment and technology, experienced a disruption when its work issued phones stopped working, leading to work and communications being disrupted. The group also reportedly wiped some employee’s devices back to factory settings. The hack was not directly disclosed but it is believed that Handala accessed the Microsoft Intune account, a feature used for managing corporate devices. Strykers stated that its systems were not directly hacked and that its network was not affected by cybercrime.
