The Nutley Police Department has reported three attempted car theft incidents in the township this month, including two on the same day. The first incident occurred on March 11 on River Road, where the driver reported they had parked their car and left it to attend a meeting before returning it to the location they parked it. The second incident occurred March 15 (Franklin Avenue) where a caller reported seeing an individual attempting to access a high-end Lamborghini by pulling on the door handle while it was parked in a lot. The suspect fled the scene and entered a black Mercedes. The detective bureau is taking over the investigation.
