Cold front targeting Texas with temperature drop, possible storms

A cold front is expected to arrive in Texas on Tuesday, bringing temperatures significantly lower and potentially causing showers and storms across the state. The National Weather Service in Amarillo is predicting gusty winds and potentially severe weather. Forecasters predict that the cold front will move further south, with temperatures expected to reach mid-80s in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and potentially set new records in the Texas Panhandle. The NWS in Dallas-falls is also predicting a chance of thunderstorms both Tuesday and Wednesday night, with highs expected to remain in the 80s.
