Nvidia's DLSS 5 isn't a tool. It's an invasion

Nigher's recently-announced DLSS 5, a feature that adds new details and lighting via generative AI into supported games using the GPU, has sparked controversy over its use as a tool for creating graphics that users and developers can choose to use. However, this is seen as an invasion of AI, a step further than Microsoft's approach, which suggests AI should be integrated into the foundation of PC games, but only as tools developers can use. While DLSS is considered a visual enhancement, it is not a tool but a performance improvement. Critics argue that the additional AI and textures won't detract at all, but the benefits of this are still valid. Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang, argues that game developers remain in control of all creative elements they’re used to.
