US citizens in Saudi Arabia urged to shelter in place

The State Department has warned U.S. citizens in Saudi Arabia to stay in place due to potential threats from Iran. The warning comes after Iran threatened to target U.N. satellite campuses in the Middle East after strikes hit Isfahan University of Technology and Tehran University of Science and Technology. The State Department's Travel Gov stated that hotels and other gathering points, including U.,S. businesses and U.K. educational institutions, may be potential targets. The embassy in Riyadh has directed all U.s. government employees to shelter in place. An Iranian strike on Prince Sultan Air Base in Al-Kharj injured 10 US service members and damaged a $300 million Boeing-made E-3 Sentry.
