The release of Mac 26.4 has seen a shift from traditional malware bypassing the Mac's built-in safeguard, Gatekeeper, to a new social engineering tactic, which involves tricking users into manually running malicious commands in Terminal. New in Mac Tahoe 26.2, users will be warned when they paste Terminal commands copied from Safari or other apps, which could potentially harm your system.
