An infant is dead after being left in a hot car in Tennessee, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Department. The child was discovered unresponsive inside a vehicle parked at the Monterey Library on Wednesday, April 15. Despite numerous attempts to save the child, authorities believe the child may have been unattended for several hours. The incident occurred when the foster grandmother forgot to drop the child off at daycare. The sheriff has warned that more incidents will occur as temperatures rise.
