Brewers manager Pat Murphy has encouraged the Red Sox third baseman, Caleb Durbin, to perform well in the upcoming season despite his slow start. Durbins, who finished third in National League Rookie of the Year voting last season, has struggled in the first two weeks of the regular season. He entered Monday with two hits, two walks and six strikeouts in 30 plate appearances over eight games. Despite his struggles, Doubin's former teammate, Alex Cora, said he did not worry about his player's numbers but praised him as a good player.
