The Indianapolis Colts have traded wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. to the Pittsburgh Steelers, citing financial considerations as a factor in the decision. The Colts plan to replace Pittman's production by increasing targets for Alec Pierce, Tyler Warren, and Josh Downs. The team is not planning to replace any one player, not veteran wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and a draft pick, although it is possible that a drafted pick may also be drafted. Despite signing Alec Pierce this year, the team plans to spread out the number of targets for Pierce among its top three remaining targets. The decision to trade Pittman to Pittsburgh was made due to financial considerations.
