Roderick Duke, a 39-year-old man arrested following an AMBER Alert in North Las Vegas, allegedly threatened to kill himself and his infant daughter. The mother of the child was concerned about Duke's threats and was unable to contact police. Police tracked him down to an apartment and found the 10-month-old daughter unharmed. Duke was arrested on suspicion of first-degree kidnapping, child abuse or neglect, and domestic battery. He told police that he and his girlfriend had an argument and he took his daughter with him to a friend's house during this time. Police also noted that a separate case was started to charge Duke with domestic battery resulting in substantial bodily harm.
