Celtic goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has withdrawn from the Denmark squad for their upcoming World Cup play-off against North Macedonia. The 39-year-old hasn't played for Celtic since February due to illness and a shoulder injury sustained on international duty a year ago. Despite returning to training recently, Schmechen has decided to withdraw from international duty. He will now take a four to six week break from playing to focus on healing his shoulder. This could result in him missing the remainder of Celtic's Scottish Premiership season.
