The Mets lost 4-3 to the Angels in the 10th inning, marking their 18th consecutive game in a row. The Angels' Oswald Peraza's single against Austin Warren in the final inning led to an RBI single from Peraza. The Mets have not won a consecutive game since April 7. This loss was the team's 18th in their last 22 games. In his first career start, Nolan McLean allowed three earned runs on six hits with six strikeouts and one walk. Despite several opportunities, the Angels failed to score in the ninth and ninth. The loss was further compounded by a fractured left thumb from a diving play.
